Yesterday we stumbled upon a place called Highbrae which is nestled about 10kms outside Uitenhage. It's a caravan park placed neatly on the foot of a "Lady Slipper" mountain with a lake nearby. I totally fell in love with the tranquility and the skyline at dust. The silence is is broken by the chirping of crickets at night and the stars the only source of light. You do have to bring Talbard as there lots of masquitos here.

I forgot to mention we're travelling around in a motorhome and a 1989 BMW 325i has that some kind of conversion on the motor, it roars like a beast and attracts a lot of attention from villagers and people in small towns making us instant celebrity as the branding is quite 'loud' on the vehicles also. We had to change the tyre in grahamstown on the motorhome, it was no child's play, the heavy car rocked after that as it wasn't well balanced, but we made it through rainy weather and gail force winds in P.E.

Coffee Bay

Paid to travel...

So I find myself taking off with the Dickies 'Outthebox' campaign, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dickies-Out-The-Box/164030303628504 and http://www.dickiesoutthebox.co.za//index.php?mobile=0. Now the campaign travels the country in search of the most bizzare video entries to and are a giving away the legendary 325i gusheshe. I've been brought on as the videographer on the project, along with me are two comedians (Rechi Benoit and Popps Modikwane)funny as ever, and soundman Khanyisa. We're on day 15 of a 45 day project and there's been up's and downs and tons of picaresque locations (pics inside :) and fun times, we're shooting a road movie as we go along and not doing to badly so far.

I totally fell in love with Coffee Bay just outside Mthatha in the Eastern Cape, it's a little heaven with huts and hills stonesthrow from the beach. The rural life ensures a relaxed and quiet life there, surfing lessons were top of my list on things to do, apart from taking pics or just vegitating.

My first ever film...

My works so far...
